- Plague and pest incidence reduced 90%
- Yield increase of 25%
- Strawberries were more firm and sweeter (higher BRIX, though it wasn’t measured)
The following results are from a study which was conducted by Dave Ringuette, a Professor at University Hawaii Windward Community College. He studied the effects of a SumaGrow (SG) product on Cacao. The only difference in the plant treatment was the SG product.
|Start||Mean height: 5.9 inches
|Mean height: 6.5 inches
|End||Mean height: 12.6 inches
|Mean height: 9.3
The SumaGrow treated plants had a mean height of 12.6, while the control plants had a mean height of 9.3 inches, so SumaGrow increased the mean height by 35.5%
Professor Ringuette noted the water only plants had approximately 15% more mealy bug and beetle damage.
